A Vauxhall dealership with branches in Hampshire and Wiltshire is set to enter administration.
Approach ceased trading and has begun to advise customers to take their custom elsewhere.
A source informed Car Dealer Magazine: “It's very bad news. As far as I am aware Approach has been trading in Andover [its Hampshire site] for the past 50 years. This comes after the Southgate administration earlier in the year. It's a bad time in this area.”
Vauxhall spoke to AM Online to confirm the news: “Due to the current economic climate, notice of intention to appoint administrators was given earlier this week in relation to Approach (UK) Limited, which carries on business in Andover and Salisbury, and administrators will be formally appointed by the end of the week.
“All staff working in these dealerships have been notified of the position.”
Customers who have paid deposits for new Vauxhall vehicles have been assured by the manufacturer that they will not lose their money. The company will also direct customers to alternative local sites, such as CSM and Eden.
It is unknown as yet who has been appointed as administrators of the business.
