A buyer is being sought for a longstanding distributor of bicycle components, accessories and maintenance products after the company fell into administration. Greyville Enterprises, which dates back to the 1970s, supplies more than 1,000 retail and online outlets across the UK, as well as workshops.
Initially representing UK bicycle component manufacturers in Denmark and the Netherlands, the company pivoted to importing products to supply the UK cycle trade amid decline in the British manufacturing base.
In the 2024 calendar year, the company generated turnover of £3.4 million, up from £2.8 million the previous year. However, it fell from a post-tax profit of £34,000 in 2023 to a post-tax loss of £216,000 last year.
Based on the Moons Moat North Industrial Estate, Redditch, Worcestershire, Greyville distributes a wide range of components, including brakes, handlebars, tyres, wheels, saddles and chains and accessories such as baskets, lights, kick stands, maintenance tools, pumps, clothing and helmets.
