It has been a few weeks since Bramwell Pub Company entered administration at the end of October, and the administrators are still seeking a sale of 110 pubs.
The remaining Bramwell pubs are still trading while the administrators work to secure a sale.
Zolfo Cooper succeeded in selling a 78-strong portion of the public houses to Stonegate Pub Company, safeguarding 1,700 jobs and with a deal value of £35 million.
The deal to purchase some of Bramwell’s stronger performing pubs has boosted Stonegate’s pub portfolio number to 625 across Britain. The sites are to be converted into pub brands Slug & Lettuce, Great Traditional Pubs, Yate’s and Bars & Venues.
Peter Saville, partner at Zolfo Cooper, said: “We are extremely pleased to have secured the sale of this significant number of units to Stonegate and we wish Stonegate and the staff all the best for the future.
“Our focus now is on working to secure futures for the remainder of the estate and we continue to invite parties wishing to make an expression of interest to contact Zolfo Cooper.”
Based in Buckinghamshire Bramwell Pub Company had been hit by cash flow issues relating to a stagnant economy.
