Blueworld (UK) LLP, the company that manages boy band Blue, has entered administration during the performers’ return tour.
The business handles Blue’s website and fan club and is now under the control of John Kelmanson of Kelmanson Costa Business Solutions (KCBS).
It has been hinted that the business may be wrapped up in a pre-pack administration. A spokesman from Blue’s publicity manager The Outside Organisation has said Blueworld is to be “replaced” by a new company.
It is thought thousands of pounds are owed to the creditors, though Blueworld’s administrator has not commented.
The spokesman said: “Blue have been open about their recent financial struggles and are restructuring their business model.”
Blue’s four members are presently in the middle of a string of sell-out shows in Europe, after the band featured on the ITV programme The Big Reunion, sparking new interest from the public.
The quartet has also recently released a comeback album entitled Roulette, which won a place at number 13 in the official UK music chart. The band split in 2005, before regrouping for the Eurovision song contest in 2011. It ended up in 11th place, representing the UK.
Blueworld entered administration on 1 May 2013. A statement on the proceedings is due to be released in the next week.
