Laboratory maker MSS Clean Technologies is now in the hands of administrators, with a sale sought.
The business is still trading in the control of joint administrators Andy Clay and Rob Sadler of Begbies Traynor in York. Projects are being brought to completion while the administrators seek a buyer for the business.
Situated in Sheriff Hutton, York and founded in 1982, MSS designs, makes, installs and commissions laboratories, cleanrooms and controlled environments. It has 12 staff.
Used by companies around the world, MSS has a strong reputation within the biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare and electronics industries. Clients can benefit from its cleanroom ceiling or wall systems, specialist doors, and floors to suit varying needs and budgets.
Commenting on proceedings, Mr Sadler said: “MSS is well-known as a specialist in the design and installation of controlled environments and has established a blue chip client base. We are continuing to trade the business while it is marketed as we are confident that with its valuable IP and brand as well as the directors’ expertise and its extensive contacts, it will be of interest to a number of potential buyers.”
