Award-winning children’s organic food manufacturer Miniscoff Ltd has entered liquidation. The company is now seeking a buyer to take on its brand name, services, and assets which include recipes.
The company was founded by Angus Oliphant in Holt, Wiltshire and has been operational since 1999. Miniscoff creates ready-meal style organic foods for children aged one to four, and currently supplies to British online supermarket Ocado.
Partners Simon Haskew and Neil Vinnicombe, from the Bristol and Bath branches of corporate recovery services Begbies Traynor, were assigned as the joint liquidators on 15 June 2018.
Miniscoff's meals are largely inspired by Italian flavours, with meats and produce sourced from local British farms. The company has been the recipient of a number of awards over the years, having been crowned the winners of the Junior Design Awards in 2015, and having received a gold rating at the Baby & Pregnancy Awards in 2014.
Vinnicombe said: “At a time of growing awareness of the need to eat more healthily, it’s truly regrettable that a business like this has come to an end.
“But we are optimistic that its central mission to provide healthy good can continue, as serious interest in the business has been shown and we are hopeful of finding a buyer.”
