Production company Dinamo Productions Ltd has entered administration after struggling through a couple of difficult trading years.
The business, which was being the popular children's show Abadas, ceased trading before the administrators from Begbies Traynor were appointed. They made all 27 staff redundant, although the majority have since been found new positions.
David Hill and Steve Wade from Begbies' Cardiff base have been appointed to handle matters. Mr Wade commented: “We are looking forward and exploring options where the Dinamo brand will continue to produce and develop content collaboratively with UK and international partners.”
The business had a number of clients it worked with across the entertainment industry, including the BBC and S4C. Dinamo also worked with various independent production companies as well and worked hard to support the industry within Wales and the UK as a whole.
A commitment to maintaining the firm's large production facility was cited as one of the contributing factors to the administration.
It is hoped that a sale of the business and its assets will preserve its important position within the sector. In addition, the directors are looking for finance to invest in new production partnerships that would help secure the company's future.
