An electrical installation services business based in Leeds entered administration earlier this month after struggling with a series of cash flow issues.
Connect Up Electrical Limited was forced to call in Yorkshire-based licensed insolvency specialists Wilson Field to handle the administration, with partners Kelly Burton and Lisa Jane Hogg appointed as joint administrators.
The business, established in 2012, traded from Barras Street in central Leeds and provided services to schools and educational institutions by fitting and installing electrical equipment. It has now, however, ceased its trading operations in light of the administration.
Commenting on the insolvency, Burton – who is also a director at Wilson Field – said: “The company operated in a niche area, undertaking electrical installations at schools and offering technical support. When the business ran into cash flow problems, the directors sought advice but regrettably by that time options were very limited, and the decision was made by the directors to cease trading.
“An associated company is seeking appointment as a replacement subcontractor authorised by the joint administrators to ensure completion of a number of the outstanding contracts and the preservation of the applications, retentions and book debts due to the company under those contracts.”
Potential buyers of Connect Up Electrical Limited's assets and business as a whole are invited to register their interest with the administrators immediately.
