Business support consultancy Rejuvenate Your Business has been placed into liquidation, with debts exceeding £780,000.
The Liverpool-based business, which also traded as Team Rejuvenate and Project EV, received a winding-up petition this month having racked up debts it was unable to pay off. Bell Advisory has been appointed to take the company through a creditor’s voluntary liquidation procedure.
The business’ bid for European Regional Growth Fund cash of £2.4 million to set up a new site to be called Project EV to support 75 small “super-growth companies” last year had been supported by the city council. Rejuvenate Your Business never received the funds, and Liverpool City Council is one of the creditors, owed £32,000.
Rejuvenate Your Business was founded by management consultant Anna-Louise Gilhooley as a business consultancy in 2008. It operated from offices in Exchange Street East, Liverpool and Deansgate, Manchester.
Another management consultant Shazan Qureshi joined the business in 2009, becoming a director in 2013; he assigned himself the job title of director of success at Rejuvenate Group, which he still uses on LinkedIn. The company terminated his directorship on 4 June 2014.
Ms Gilhooley, the only shareholder of the company, informed Bell Advisory in an unaudited statement that she had been contacted by a creditor about cash that had been paid to the company relating to a property development joint venture agreement that she was unaware of.
