Administrators from Grant Thornton are seeking a buyer for a South Wales holiday park operator which collapsed into administration last month. Celtic Holiday Parks Limited, which is based in Kilgetty, Pembrokeshire, operates three holiday parks in South Wales.
The company offers a range of self-catering holiday options, including static caravans, luxury lodges and glamping, at its parks: Croft Country Park, Meadow House Holiday Park and Noble Court Holiday Park. The three parks feature a wide range of settings, including woodlands and clifftops with sea views, as well as amenities such as restaurants, swimming pools, gyms and wellbeing treatments.
However, the company fell into administration last week, with Alistair Wardell and Richard Lewis of Grant Thornton appointed as joint administrators on May 27. The joint administrators will continue to trade the business while seeking a buyer.
A spokesperson for the joint administrators said: "The joint administrators are continuing to trade the company’s business whilst a buyer is sought, and the company’s employees have been retained to support this strategy.”
"We confirm that, unless customers are contacted and advised otherwise, their bookings will go ahead and access to the parks will continue as normal for owners of caravans and lodges.”
"Should you be interested in acquiring the company’s business and assets, please contact the joint administrators’ team."
In accounts covering the year ending March 31 2024, the company’s fixed assets were valued at £13.3 million and current assets at £2.3 million. At the time, the business’ total equity amounted to around £4.3 million.
