Accountancy and tax advisory firm TC Group has acquired Essex-based accountancy Baker Chapman & Bussey (BCB). Following the acquisition, BCB’s clients will be managed from TC Group’s Colchester office and gain access to the group’s service offering.
All of BCB’s partners, staff and clients will join TC Group as part of the acquisition. TC Group, which is an Accountancy Age “Top 30” firm, specialises in providing bespoke accountancy and taxation solutions for businesses and has locations across the UK.
TC partner Simon Garner commented: "They have a great reputation as high quality advisers and this union will allow this to continue into the future whilst enabling a greater range of services to be made available to their clients. We look forward to working with Andrew, Jackie and their team and introducing the clients to TC Group."
BCB partners Andrew Taylor and Jackie Frost added that the company had “taken time to find what we consider to be the best strategy and fit for all our clients” and said they were confident the merger with TC Group would enable the firm to continue providing “high quality accountancy and advisory services to our existing clients”.
They continued that the company would retain “the independent local feel” but that merging with TC “will allow additional access to a wide array of services and depth of knowledge in this increasingly technical world of accountancy and taxation."
