The brand and assets of a Leeds-based print business that entered liquidation earlier this year have been acquired by a local counterpart. Customer print and packaging products specialist Print.Inc fell into liquidation in July 2025.
The company’s brand and assets were subsequently acquired by Leeds-based Involution on August 20, with the buyer saying that the acquisition would preserve Print.Inc’s brand, customers and legacy. Post-acquisition, Print.Inc will retain its identity, while production will relocate to Involution’s facility at Park House.
Print.Inc was formed in 2022 following the pre-pack sale of the assets and intellectual property of Awesome Merchandise. The company offered a variety of customised printed and embroidered merchandise, including t-shirts, tote bags, caps, badges and stickers.
At the time of the company’s collapse, it had significant debts, with an estimated total deficiency of slightly over £4.6 million, the bulk of which was owed to investors secured by floating charges.
In the company’s accounts for the period from August 12 2022 to December 31 2023, it reported turnover of £3.8 million, but fell to a pre-tax loss of nearly £2.7 million. At the time, its total assets were valued at approximately £760,000, but net liabilities exceeded £2.4 million.
Involution Sales Director Tim Rahill said: "The acquisition of Print.Inc, who were forecast to turnover in excess of £4m in 2025, marks a significant strategic step for Involution, building on our continued growth.”
"This acquisition accelerates our ambitious growth strategy to 2030 and more importantly, it ensures we deliver faster, more flexible, and more cost-effective solutions for all of our customers."
Operations Director Nathan Cookson commented: "Print.Inc will continue under its own identity but now powered by Involution. This is about restoring confidence and setting the brand up for long-term success."
The company’s Managing Director Michael Ainsworth added that the acquisition provided an opportunity to “create a more reliable, innovative service for years to come."
