Manchester-based Lavish Alice, a premium womenswear brand, has been bought by Club L London in a seven-figure deal.
Lavish Alice, inspired by Lewis Carroll's heroine, Alice, and her adventures into Wonderland, was founded in 2013 by Lee Bloor and Matthew Newton. Lavish Alice was previously stocked at retailers like Selfridges and Harvey Nichols and has earned a loyal A-list following, collaborated on a capsule collection with Lindsay Lohan, and dressed celebrities including Katy Perry, Kendall Jenner, and Gigi Hadid. It has around 18 employees according to its most recent financial filing to Companies House.
Club L London aims to accelerate its global expansion and position both brands for growth. Under the Club L London Group, Lavish Alice will continue to operate as a standalone brand. The founders will oversee the transition before stepping away.
Club L London, which achieved a turnover of £44m in 2024, finalised the deal on 28 February.
A statement from Bloor and Newton said: "Over the past 18 years, we have poured our passion into building a brand synonymous with luxury, craftsmanship, and timeless design. From being stocked in world-renowned retailers to dressing A-list celebrities, Lavish Alice has been a true labour of love. We are proud to pass on our legacy to Club L London, a leader in the occasionwear space, and look forward to seeing the brand continue to thrive in its next chapter."
Katie Randev, founder and chief executive of Club L London added: "This acquisition is a strategic step in our journey to scale globally and further elevate our brand portfolio. Lavish Alice and Club L London share a dedication to meticulous design and attention to detail, with both brands focused on creating considered, timeless pieces. Bringing Lavish Alice into the Club L London Group strengthens our market presence and reinforces our position in the premium fashion space."
