Construction and facilities management services provider Premier Technical Services Group (PTSG) has completed the acquisition HD Sharman Group, a Derbyshire-based provider of commercial roof maintenance and refurbishment systems.
Founded in 1970, HD Sharman helps organisations to maintain and refurbish building assets, extending their lifecycles by preventing costly damage and reducing risk, ultimately helping them to drive long-term sustainability.
PTSG said that the acquisition was a “strategic expansion” of its existing capabilities in the roofing services sector. HD Sharman will complement and strengthen the proposition delivered by the group’s existing commercial roof services business, NSS.
Paul Teasdale, Executive Chairman of PTSG, said: “HD Sharman Group is a respected name in the UK roofing sector – and rightly so. Their engineering excellence, commitment to customer outcomes and long-standing reputation for quality align perfectly with PTSG’s culture and ambition.”
“Bringing HDSG into the Group allows us to significantly broaden our roofing services proposition and respond to growing demand for integrated solutions across the commercial property market. We are delighted to welcome the team into the PTSG family.”
HD Sharman’s newly appointed Managing Director Leigh Daveran said that the deal marked an “exciting new chapter for our business”, adding that the partnership will enable the company to enhance its product and service offering and reach new markets.
Daveran will be replacing outgoing MD Mark de Rozarieux, who will remain closely involved in HD Sharman post-sale, working alongside Daveran to ensure a smooth, successful integration into PTSG and playing a key role in shaping the business’ strategic direction as a member of the Board of Directors.
PTSG says that, by aligning HD Sharman and NSS, it is positioned to serve the full lifecycle requirements of commercial and industrial roofing assets, including cleaning, maintenance, refurbishment and specialist coatings.
The deal is the latest in a series of transactions for the group, aimed at broadening its service offering, growing its national reach and generating cross-division opportunities. Earlier this month, it completed the acquisition of electrical compliance and safety testing firm UK Safety Management (UKSM), which joined its Electrical Services division.
