Environmental consultancy Cura Terrae has acquired air quality monitoring firm Enviro Technology Services as it continues its acquisitive private equity-backed growth. The deal is Cura Terrae’s second acquisition in two weeks and third since securing investment from Palatine Private Equity last year.
Enviro Technology dates back nearly 40 years, with clients including industrial firms, research businesses, agencies government and local authorities. The company implements and supports the instrumentation needed to monitor air pollution compliance and advancing localised strategies.
Post-acquisition, the company will join Ecus Environmental Monitoring Solutions and Envirocare in the Cura Terrae group, working alongside the existing operation to offer real-time instrumentation, bespoke environmental monitoring systems and air pollution and greenhouse gas measurement support for a wide range of UK and international clients.
Cura Terrae was established with backing from Palatine Private Equity’s Impact Fund in March 2022. In August 2022, the company completed its first acquisition, with a bolt-on deal for Nottingham-based occupational health consultancy S I Environmental. The firm’s second acquisition came in December 2022, with a deal for Stockton-based environmental services company Naturally Wild.
Cura Terrae Chief Executive Peter Skipworth said: "This acquisition is a significant and exciting development for Cura Terrae, and we look forward to welcoming Enviro Technology's staff and clients on board and continuing our mission. They will complement the services already offered by the group, and their expertise will strengthen our existing pool of knowledge, experience and resources, all of which allow us to offer excellent environmental services."
Palatine Impact Fund partner James Gregson added: "This marks the third acquisition for Cura Terrae since receiving investment from our pioneering Impact Fund in March 2022. Entering the air monitoring market is an important strategic step for Cura Terrae's growth and an opportunity to continue building a leading and increasingly diverse, environmental group that offers complementary client services that make a positive difference."
