Cloud solutions firm Cloud Direct has snapped up communications specialist AlwaysOn Group (AOG) as it embarks on an “exciting time of high growth”.
Cloud Direct acquired AOG, which provides unified communications, data communication and managed data services, from owners Foresight Group and Mobeus Equity Partners, both private equity firms.
The company said its purchase, the financial terms of which were not disclosed, would widen its product offering and bolster its Microsoft Skype for Business offer.
It is Cloud Direct’s fourth acquisition since June 2015 - the firm bought Datel Business Systems in June 2015, ihotdesk in December 2015 and Redblade in July 2016.
AOG, which comprises AlwaysOn and sister company Data Continuity Group, is a gold Microsoft partner for hosting and communications and a Skype for Business specialist.
