My Property Box, an estate and letting agent and property management provider based in County Durham, has completed its tenth acquisition in the space of six years. The firm has acquired Teesside-based lettings and property investment firm Brookland Estates Lettings.
Brookland Estates Lettings was established by Matthew Alder in 2020 and manages a portfolio of almost 200 properties across the Tees Valley. Alder opted to sell the company in order to focus more on his property sourcing business. Following the acquisition, lettings activities at the firm’s Stockton office will cease and its portfolio will transfer over to My Property Box.
My Property Box was founded by Managing Director Ben Quaintrell in 2012 and provides lettings and sales, as well as a dedicated investment service for landlords. The company has offices in Darlington and Newcastle and the latest deal further bolsters its presence in the North East and North Yorkshire, following its acquisitions of Newcastle estate agent Acorn Properties and South Shields-based Kis Lettings.
Commenting on the deal, Ben Quaintrell said: "This latest acquisition is a perfect fit for this business, which continues to look for growth opportunities not just within the North East and North Yorkshire, but further afield."

The deal comes as consolidation is growing in the UK's estate agent sector, with high levels of fragmentation and a thriving lettings market among the factors driving higher levels of M&A activity
