AM Electrics (Renewables), a specialist electrical contractor based in Norfolk, has been acquired by independent connection provider HVSS Group. AM Electrics (Renewables) provides services including installation and maintenance.
The company, which was founded in 2014, serves commercial and industrial clients across the renewables, construction and rail sectors. It has previously delivered large-scale solar PV and decarbonisation work across the UK, while current projects include work for the NHS with a major plc.
The acquisition by HVSS Group, which operates across the UK, will enable the company to expand into new regions, while benefiting from the management and reputational support provided by the wider group.
For HVSS Group, meanwhile, the acquisition expands its current service offering, along with that of sister company HVSS.
AM Electrics (Renewables) director Luke Bradford said that the company had “worked hard to earn a reputation for technical quality and reliability.”
He continued: “Joining HVSS marks an exciting step, and their experience and support will help us take on new opportunities and continue growing while staying true to the values that have shaped our success."
FRP’s Corporate Finance team provided sell-side advice on the deal, led by partner James Cooper and assistant manager Lydia Kelsall. The team supported the transaction throughout, including introducing the two parties, preparing marketing materials, securing HVSS Group’s interest, structuring the deal, negotiating terms and supporting the due diligence process.
James Cooper said that the acquisition was “a great deal for both parties and reflects the continued strength of the UK’s electrical contracting sector, where we continue to see strong demand driven by sustained investment in renewable infrastructure and decarbonisation.”
"With a solid pipeline of contracts,” Cooper continued, “this acquisition puts AM Electrics (Renewables) in a great position to grow its footprint and deliver more projects across a broader range of locations."
