Private equity-backed business and cloud communications firm OneCom Group has completed its fourth deal of 2021 with the acquisition of Gateshead-based Russell Telecom. OneCom, which is backed by £100 million in funding from LDC, has this year completed the acquisitions of Olive Communications, 9 Group and IP Office Ltd.
With a history dating back over 35 years, Russell Telecom is a leading business telecoms firm, renowned for its communications solutions and strong focus on customer service. The business provides phone and connectivity solutions for clients in a wide array of markets, including business, education, healthcare and not-for-profit.
OneCom created the UK's largest B2B, connectivity and cloud provider at the start of 2021 with its acquisition of Olive Communications. The takeover of Russell Telecom brings over 1,500 customers and the target company’s team into the OneCom offering.
