A private-equity backed Walsall accountancy firm has expanded into Gloucestershire with its latest acquisition. BK Plus, which is backed by Palatine, has acquired Andorran Chartered Accountants, a practice based in Cheltenham.
BK Plus, which specialises in accounting, auditing, tax and business advisory services, has now completed 13 acquisitions since it was established by former Baldwins directors David Baldwin and Shaun Knight in February 2021.
Acquisitions have enabled the company to rapidly establish a national footprint, with offices in Dudley, Solihull, Uttoxeter, Warwick, Bromsgrove, Blackheath, Wolverhampton, Halifax, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Oldham and Stoke.
Andorran Chartered Accountants is based at Cheltenham’s Manor Business Centre. The company was founded in 1998 and has grown “substantially” since then, now having a team of 15 staff led by Managing Director Roger Downes.
According to BK Plus, the firm is “regarded as one of the leading independent firms in the county.” The buyer added: “Its dedication to quality service and deep understanding of the local business environment aligns with BK Plus’ mission to provide comprehensive accounting solutions tailored to SME needs.”
BK Plus said that the acquisition “signifies our commitment to providing local expertise and advice to the SME sector in their local area using local Partners and staff.”
