Located near the Snowdonia National Park and the Gwydir Forest Park, the Modurdy Dolydd Garage in Dolydd, Gwyned is being marketed for sale by Christie & Co. The garage’s forecourt and convenience store respectively run under the Essar and Mace banners.
The business has been up and running for the last 40 years by current owner Emyr Hughes, who is looking to sell in order to retire.
He said: “It has been a pleasure to serve the local community, and to run the garage for all these years. I’m looking forward to finding a new owner for the business, and subsequently enjoying a well-deserved retirement.”
The business encompasses an MOT and car repair service which can be continued to be used in its current form, or can be revamped – subject to planning permission – for an alternative purpose.
In addition to this, a detached four-bedroom house is available as part of the sale.
Handling the sale, Christie & Co. business agent Ashley Cobban, said: “This fantastic business offers a wealth of opportunities for potential purchasers, and although the site currently shows decent profitability, there is scope to improve this further by shifting the operation from management-run to owner operated or increasing the currently limited opening hours.
“The business would be well-suited to a hands-on owner or operator on account of both the MOT garage and four-bedroom owner’s accommodation offered as part of the sale.”
An asking price of £699,950 has been set for the Essar Modurdy Dolydd Garage freehold interest.
