The owners and operators of the Southampton Park Hotel in the centre of Southampton have put the commercial property up for sale.
Akkeron Hotels – who only acquired the hotel at the end of last year as part of the New Forest based Forestdale Hotels – have put a pricetag of £3 million onto the hotel. Akkeron are keen to sell the hotel as a trading business.
According to Big Hospitality, Akkeron has said that the Southampton Park Hotel is 'profitable' but that it remains 'surplus to Akkeron Hotel’s future plans.'
The 3 AA starred freehold hotel comprises 72 bedrooms, a private members club catering to 250 members and a leisure centre with pool and well-equipped gym. The hotel also boasts conferencing and banqueting facilities.
Akkeron Hotels has appointed property agents Christie + Co to manage the sale of the hotel on its behalf.

There are real opportunities to grow both turnover and profit from this enviably located business.”
The commercial property has easy access to Southampton's main shopping area, which includes the popular West Quay Shopping Centre. It is also located close to the harbour and the port, and has views across the attractive Watts Park.
