Swirl Products Ltd, a company which trades as fmcg, has entered administration with a team from FRP Advisory appointed to handle the matter.
Russell Cash and Ben Woolrych, both partners at the restructuring and advisory firm, will work together as joint administrators to trade the business as normal while looking to drive things forward towards a sale.
For now this means that they will retain all nine members of staff and the team are hopeful that a sale of the distressed business will be possible within weeks.
Mr Cash commented: “There is already interest in fmcg; this comes as no surprise as the business commands a leading presence in branded personal and household care products for the discounters, supermarkets and pharmacy chains.”
The company is a toiletry, personal care and household branding company based in Oldham, Manchester. Among the brand ranges it operates are Head Funk, Nuage, Salon Chic and Swirl Household.
While it operates from the UK, it also has a presence across 32 other countries around the world and has performed well in recent times. The administration, however, is thought to have been caused by troubles with cashflow pressure. By placing the firm in administration FRP have been able to protect the company and allow it to continue trading while seeking a solution for these issues.
