Bradford-based Tiffin Sandwiches has bought Glasgow’s PJ’s Foods in a move to boost its footprint in Scotland.
Tiffin is one of the UK’s largest food-to-go manufacturers delivering over 700,000 fresh products nationwide each week. It serves over 4,000 locations nationwide to the NHS, educational establishments and sporting events in Scotland and the North of England.
PJ’s Foods began trading in 1996 attaining the BRC Food Safety standard in 2003. PJs supply to a wide selection of organisations including universities, colleges, schools, The NHS, retail units, in-flight caterers, stadiums, councils, and sporting events. PJs operate from a purpose-built high-care / low-risk factory in Glasgow employing 85 staff locally. With distribution to the Scottish region, PJs produce approximately 85,000 to 90,000 products per week including sandwiches and salad bowls.

Business advisory firm Clive Owen and law firm Andrew Jackson Solicitors LLP advised on the deal.
