Universal Tankers, a Stokesley-based waste management specialist, has expanded its offering in the North of England with the acquisition of H. & E. Trotter. Based in Penrith, Cumbria, H. & E. Trotter specialises in the servicing of septic tanks.
Universal Tankers specialises in wastewater and liquid disposal and has depots across the UK, providing a wide array of waste management services tailored to meet the needs of a range of commercial sectors. The firm has a license to operate 15 HGVs and 15 trailers from its two bases in Penrith and Carlisle.
The acquisition of H. & E. Trotter improves the company’s commercial offering and enables it to expand its existing operations in Cumbria. Universal Tankers said the deal would improve its range of waste management services in the region, enabling it to offer liquid food waste management, tank and sewage treatment plant services, the provision of bulk water and welfare accommodation units for construction sites and events.
Universal Tankers Managing Director Toby Gunn said that the integration of H. & E. Trotters’ wet waste operations, and his own firm’s experienced team, “will ensure a seamless transition for existing customers, maintaining the high standards they expect.”
He added: "We are thrilled to welcome H. & E. Trotter's wet waste business into the Universal Tanker group. Both the Trotter family and Universal Tankers share a commitment to exceptional service, which we consider essential for providing a top-class customer experience. Our goal is to ensure the preservation of the high standards our customers expect.
"We are looking forward to providing the same Universal Tanker experience to our new clients in the North of England and Cumbria."
