A four-star hotel located within short driving distance of Glasgow International Airport has been placed on the market with a £2.5 million price tag.
The Gleddoch House Hotel and Golf Course was once called home by the family of Clydeside shipping baron Sir William Lithgow, and is now being marketed for sale by Colliers International.
Constructed in the 1920s the property sits in 360 acres of countryside, overlooks the Clyde Estuary and has generous facilities including 69 bedrooms, a range of bars and restaurants as well as conference, function and meeting rooms. There is also a large leisure, gym and spa facility. It also has an 18-hole golf course on almost 6,500 metres of land, which is considered amongst the most scenic in the West of Scotland.
London-based property developers have owned the site since 2005, and are now seeking to sell up in order to focus on other business interests.
Commenting on the sale Alistair Letham, a Colliers International director, said: “Gleddoch House Hotel and Golf Course has everything to offer, not only to the leisure market but also corporate and local customers.
“The mix of facilities available at the hotel ensures it is of wide appeal, making this a highly attractive leisure business.”
