Various commercial properties in Newport are up for sale at an auction taking place next week.
Firstly, the three-storey Belmont Guest House is to go under the hammer with a guide price of £120,000-plus. The semi-detached building in Chepstow Road is in need of some refurbishment, but it has room for nine bedrooms as well as a rear annexe, all of which is catered for by a range of kitchen and bathroom facilities, the South Wales Argus reported.
Partial refurbishment of the commercial property has been completed, including some plumbing, electrical and plastering work. However, further improvements are required, namely it needs a new kitchen and bathroom fitting.
Keri Harding-Jones, from the seller Paul Fosh Auctions, commented: "The current accommodation offers the potential for conversion to residential or alternative uses subject to planning permission."
Also up for sale at the auction - which is taking place at the Park Inn Hotel in Cardiff, at 5pm on Thursday 10 December - is the property at 4a West Market Street in Newport.
The building is split across two storeys and covered 1,243 square feet. Due to its good location on the corner of West Market and Dolphin Streets and near to Lower Dock Street, the commercial property can have a range of uses, including a shop, cafe or small office.
The property has a guide price of £65,000-plus.
