A commercial property in Derby is nearing completion and investors in the region are eager to see what will happen when the offices are put on the market.
Construction on Friar Gate Square began around ten months ago and is due for completion at the start of next year. It marked the first major office development in the city centre for 22 years and notably has been built speculatively, without a tenant in place to take on the development.
Reports from the Derby Telegraph describe the building as having around 7,000 sq ft of space on the first and second floors; narrowing to 5,000 sq ft on the third and fourth, while the ground floor has 4,000 sq ft.
John Forkin, managing director of Marketing Derby, told the paper that Friar Gate Square represents a statement of intent.
“This is a stunning building, which is being built to an incredibly high specification,” he said. “It's the kind of office building you would expect to see in somewhere like London or Copenhagen. It was important that the first new office building in Derby for more than 20 years would set the benchmark.”
Situated in Tyne and Wear, this well-established dental practice features three surgeries and offers a mixed NHS and private service.
