Office buildings in Northampton previously owned by Carlsberg are on the market for just over £2.7 million. Jacobsen House comprises 46,000 sq ft of office space in the centre of the city. It is being marketed by Sanderson Weatherall, Leeds, with offers of over £2.75 million being sought.
The sale comes after the company merged with Marston's Brewing Company and undertook a review of its sites, including offices, breweries and depots. The company found that, due to the rise in hybrid and remote working, it no longer needs as much space and is focusing on making the best use of its other office buildings.
A spokesperson for Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company (CMBC) commented: “The past year has given us time to reflect on how we will work in the future and better support our employees."
"Working remotely and in a hybrid manner has proven successful for us and our employees and we know that supporting flexible ways of working is here to stay. Following the formation of CMBC last year, we’ve reviewed how a return to our offices will look for us and how best we can use our existing offices and sites across the UK, including our large Wolverhampton office.
"We took the decision that the Bridge Street office was not suitable for our future needs and that we would explore its sale."
The property includes a reception area, restaurant/bar space, roof terrace and open-plan offices, including meeting rooms. It also features suspended ceilings with integrated LED lighting and carpeting throughout. Additionally, the building features lift access and a car park with 25 spaces.
The property also offers direct access to Northampton town centre and is situated near to two retail parks and the University of Northampton.
One of the best ways to find properties below market price is to look at recent administrations.
The business was first established by the owner in 2019, building up an excellent reputation during its time of trading. As seen by some online ratings and reviews, the business is extremely popular within the local area.
