Korecentric has bought Kent software firm Viasys in a management buyout deal. The move has saved 14 staff members at the industry supply chain software provider, which is based in West Malling, Kent.
Korecentric is a member of the oil, gas, nuclear and offshore wind sector business development business NOF Energy.
The development, sales and support staff to be kept on have valuable experience of project-based procurement and contract management software.
Korecentric has plans to launch a host of new software products in the future.
Zack Hodge, managing director of Korecentric commented: “The acquisition gives us the opportunity and flexibility to explore new ways to service existing and future clients in this niche sector.
“We will continue to support the existing client base and look to bring exciting new software products to market, using the latest development technologies to provide the future proofing our customers demand.”
Viasys started out in 1996 providing consultancy services to the energy, oil & gas, construction and engineering sectors. It has gone on to provide bespoke software solutions and to create a materials management procurement software package.
Past customers include EDG, Genesis Oil and Gas, and Agra Birwelco (AMEC).
This unique opportunity invites new ownership to propel a thriving business known for its exceptional customer retention and prestigious clientele, with potential for significant expansion through high-street partnerships and e-commerce growth.
