Leeds-based property consultant Adair Paxton LLP has merged with a privately owned commercial property agent in a bid to 'strengthen expertise'.
Adair Paxton LLP, one of the longest established consultants in the area, with offices in Horsforth and Leeds, has teamed up with Wetherby-based Neil Thornber Commercial.
The owners of Neil Thornber Commercial were looking to expand, having traded independently since 1997 from their sole Wetherby office. Neil Thornber said, "Becoming part of a larger concern that is regarded as one of Yorkshire's longest established property consultancies is very exciting.
"This move is the next logical step for me, having traded independently for nearly 14 years," he added.
Simon Dalingwater, partner at Adair Paxton LLP, said that the merger would allow both parties to strengthen their expertise. The decision to merge was taken due to the compatibility of the businesses and to widen geographic coverage for both.
"Neil brings with him a wealth of experience in facilitating major property deals, and has established a very well regarded reputation in areas of Yorkshire where we are keen to develop further instructions and activity. He will be a major boost to our offering – the team here is looking forward to working closely with him," added Mr Dalingwater.
