A merger is due to take place between two agricultural firms in a bid to combine experience and strength.
Chris Tallis Farm Machinery Ltd is to join forces with Alexander & Duncan Ltd on 1 May to create a new agriculture and turf firm, the Tallis Amos Group Ltd.
The Tallis and Amos families will own the new company, with Ben Tallis based at the Hinton head office in the position of managing director, while the sales director, Simon Amos, will be based at Leominster. The pair will run the firm as partners.
After the merger, the dealerships will continue to trade under their existing names at their branches and together will maintain a staff of around 80.
Mr Tallis explained the benefits of the move to the Evesham Journal: "Both companies have a rich and long heritage and a strong commitment to retaining a family ethos, backed up by high quality customer service.
“We have a combined trading history of more than 150 years and hundreds of years of sales experience across the business. This is a good fit for both dealerships and by coming together in this way we’ll be better placed to meet the challenges that lie ahead.”
