Newly formed Walsall-based accountancy BK Plus has made its first acquisition with the takeover of Warwickshire-headquartered Chapman Nash Accountancy. BK Plus was founded earlier this year by David Baldwin and Shaun Knight and has rapidly grown to over 40 staff.
BK Plus provides support for a range of businesses, from SMEs to larger corporate entities. Chapman Nash meanwhile, which was founded in 2008, offers general and specialist financial advice and services.
The acquisition enables BK Plus to expand its business to clients north and south of Birmingham, while giving Chapman Nash the scope to grow its services as part of a wider group.
Following the acquisition, Chapman Nash’s office will be rebranded as the firm seeks to attract more clients and staff.
Commenting on the deal, Shaun Knight of BK Plus said: "We are delighted to have agreed the acquisition of Chapman Nash as we enhance our offer to businesses across the Midlands.”
"It is fantastic to join forces with such a well-respected firm in our first major acquisition, so soon after launching the business."
Chapman Nash’s Jeremy Chapman added: "We are pleased to be joining forces with another firm which has a similar philosophy to us in how we look after clients. Joining together with a larger organisation offers new opportunities, while allowing us to keep some autonomy in the Warwickshire office."
Emma Nash of Chapman Nash, meanwhile, said: "In teaming up with BK Plus, we shall not only continue advising our valued client base but also, with the additional support, strengthen and expand our services to both existing and potential businesses."
