A glamping business on the Isle of Anglesey has been put up for sale with an asking price of £1.5 million. Llanfair Hall is located near the village of Dwryan and close to the Newborough Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Opening for business in 2015, the site has become a highly regarded glamping location due to both its facilities and its rural location. Llanfair Hall was named AA's UK Glamping Site of the year for 2019-2020 and was also awarded Best Glamping Site in the UK 2021 by Glampitect.
The sale includes the entire 4.78 acre site, which is built around a former farmhouse – dating back to around 1750 – which has now been converted into a 4-bedroom residence. There are five glamping pods, which are well appointed, as well as ancillary appointments and leisure facilities.
The site includes two large barns, one of which was converted into accommodation in 2019, offering three bedrooms, a kitchen-dining area with vaulted ceiling and oil-fired heating throughout. The second barn, currently used as a workshop and store, also offers potential for conversion, which would enable the business to expand further. Ongoing planning permission exists to convert it into two two-bedroom dwellings.
The site also offers further accommodation in the form of a Log Cabin, added in 2016 and located in a private field to the rear of the main dwelling, and a Shepherd’s Hut. Finally, there is also a centrally located geodome, which offers residents the opportunity to view the night skies, with the area having dark sky status.
Estate agent Dafydd Hardy is leading the sale process and said: “Establishing a successful holiday business and making it flourish in just a few short years is no mean feat and yet that is what has happened here at Llanfair Hall.”
"Llanfair Hall offers a unique holiday experience with accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets, presenting a choice of accommodation which will make anyone’s visit here memorable. Being awarded Glampitect's Best Glamping Site in the UK 2021 and AA's UK Glamping Site of the year for 2019-2020, shows the commitment has been worthwhile. An excellent reputation established means more business going forward.”
