The Bedfordshire aerospace engineering base, The Fluid Engineering Centre, has been put up for sale, after the company that previously owned it went into administration earlier this year.
The BHR Group has instructed its administrators, from asset recovery and insolvency support group Winterhill Largo, to sell the premises, which is located at the company's former base at Cranfield University.
The property is exceptionally flexible and has been made use of by a number of aerospace companies for administration, manufacturing and engineering purposes. It is currently leased and occupied by two new tenants.
Winterhill Largo's Henry Martin, said that the building offered a host of business opportunities for prospective new owners.
"The building is a very flexible facility that has any number of suitable tenants, and is ideally based for specialist engineering companies being on the campus of Cranfield University," he explained.
Mr Martin added that the property currently generates rent of more than £200,000 every year, and is available on a leasehold basis. He said that a number of interested parties had already made enquiries into the building, including landlords looking for an investment and owner-occupier niche engineering firms looking to develop technology with the University.
