A luxury spa lodge near Barmouth, Gwynedd is up for sale in a £3.5 million auction. The Coes Faen Spa Lodge has been put on the market following the tragic death of its previous owner, former Ford Motor Company Vice President Professor Richard Parry-Jones, earlier this year.
The hotel was listed as one of the UK’s best hotels in The Good Hotel Guide 2021: Great Britain and Ireland and was also one of only ten recipients of the hotel world’s prestigious César awards this year.
The spa, which has been closed since Professor Parry-Jones’ death in April, has now been brought to the market, along with a Grade II listed home on the property, by commercial agents Strutt and Parker.
Strutt and Parker commented: The Clock House, a Grade II Victorian Gothic home, and Coes Faen Lodge sit in a majestic position near the mouth of the Mawddach estuary, between the Snowdonia peaks and the Cadair Idris Range.”
